Overview

Understanding healthy ageing.

Ageing well is mostly about the things you do early and consistently, and about noticing the small changes before they grow. Most of what shapes the years ahead, your heart, your metabolism, your bones and your brain, can be measured, understood and acted on now.

We take a proactive, whole-person view. A thorough yearly baseline, the time to make sense of it together, and a clear plan, with sensible checks rather than testing for its own sake.

Where it starts

A baseline you can build on. Then a GP, whenever you need one.

Healthy ageing is not a one-off test. It is a baseline you take each year, understood properly and tracked over time, with unlimited access to a GP in between to act on what matters. Both annual assessments are included in membership.

Included yearly

Annual Health Assessment

A GP-led review across two appointments, with an advanced blood panel of around 150 markers, returned as a personalised written report. Your baseline, and the thread you track against year on year.

Included yearly

Annual Dental Assessment

A thorough review of your dental and oral health, read as part of the whole picture rather than in isolation. Delivered by West End Dental.

Between assessments, membership gives you unlimited same-day GP appointments. So if something changes, or you simply want to talk it through, there is always someone who knows your history.

Areas we focus on

The things that determine how well you age.

A whole-person view of the systems that shape the years ahead, looked at together rather than in isolation.

Heart and circulation

Blood pressure, cholesterol and advanced cardiovascular markers, reviewed to keep your long-term risk low.

Metabolic health and weight

Blood sugar, HbA1c and the markers of how your body handles energy, with a realistic, sustainable plan.

Hormonal health

The hormonal shifts of midlife assessed and managed, from thyroid to the menopause and andropause.

Brain and memory

Cognitive health reviewed sensitively, with early support and onward referral where it is needed.

Muscle, strength and balance

The strength and stability that keep you active and independent, and that prevent falls later on.

Bones and joints

Bone health and joint care, with the checks and advice that protect mobility for the years ahead.

Sleep and recovery

A proper look at sleep quality and the things that disrupt it, given the weight it deserves.

Mood and stress

Mood, stress and resilience considered as part of the whole, with time to talk and support when it helps.

Cancer-risk awareness

A considered look at personal and family risk, with appropriate checks and rapid referral when needed.

The tests that help

Bloodwork that goes beyond the standard check.

Where they add value, we look at markers a standard check often misses, and read them against your history and how you feel, not a lab range alone.

Advanced cardiovascular markers
Including ApoB and Lp(a) where they add value
Full lipid and metabolic panel
Cholesterol, blood sugar and HbA1c
Hormone profile
Thyroid and the hormones of midlife
Inflammatory markers
Such as hs-CRP, a marker of inflammation
Nutrient panel
Vitamin D, B12, folate and iron
Kidney and liver function
Including eGFR, a baseline worth tracking

Tests are recommended where there is clear clinical value, and form part of your Annual Health Assessment. Your GP will explain what each one tells us.

Our approach

Considered, thorough, and built to last.

01

Proactive, not reactive

We look for the small, treatable changes early, rather than waiting for a problem to announce itself.

02

A fuller picture

Bloodwork and checks that go beyond a standard review, read alongside your history and how you actually feel.

03

Tracked year on year

Your annual baseline builds a record over time, so trends are spotted early and your plan evolves with you.

How your care works

A yearly rhythm that keeps you on track

01

A baseline, once a year

Your Annual Health Assessment gives a thorough picture of where your health stands, recorded so each year builds on the last.

02

Time to make sense of it

A 30-minute consultation to walk through what the numbers mean and agree what, if anything, is worth acting on.

03

Support through the year

Unlimited same-day GP access between assessments, so questions and niggles are dealt with early, not left.

04

Adjust, and review again

A clear, practical plan you can keep to, revisited and refined at each annual review.

Questions

Good to know

Anyone who wants to be proactive about staying well, at any age. Whether you are building good foundations in your thirties or looking after your health through midlife and beyond, the approach is the same: understand where you stand, and act early.

A standard check tends to be a one-off snapshot. Here, your Annual Health Assessment is a thorough baseline that is tracked year on year, with the time to understand it and a GP on hand throughout the year to act on what matters.

Membership includes your Annual Health Assessment and Annual Dental Assessment each year, plus unlimited same-day GP appointments in between, all with the same small, senior team.

No. We do not sell IV vitamin therapy, injections or supplements. We give evidence-based advice on nutrition and lifestyle, and treat any genuine deficiency appropriately, rather than selling products.

Yes. Where they add genuine value to understanding your cardiovascular risk, we can include advanced markers and explain what they mean for you.

Your GP consultations and in-house tests are part of membership. If you need specialist care, we arrange and coordinate the referral; the specialist's own fees are separate.

No. West End Health complements the NHS, it does not replace it. Many members keep their NHS GP, and with your consent we can write to them to keep your care joined up.

Same-day appointments are part of membership. Call by 2pm, Monday to Friday, and we will see you that day, in person, by phone or by video.
