Four things that make the difference
Time
30-minute appointments as standard. Issues are raised, properly examined and properly explained, not triaged and moved on.
Access
Same-day requests before 2pm, by phone, email or WhatsApp. Routine bookings without the wait.
Continuity
A small, named clinical team who learn each member’s history over the years, and follow things through.
Prevention
An annual health and dental review: the thing most people never get round to booking, built in as standard.
Unlimited consultations. Annual reviews. One fee.
Each membership covers unhurried GP appointments throughout the year, an annual health and dental review, and the in-clinic care that supports them. Invoiced to your business as a single annual fee per member.
Absence is rising. Access is falling.
For most North Wales businesses, the senior team is the business. When one of them cannot get seen, small problems grow and work stops. Private cover keeps the people you depend on well, and at work.
Average UK employee sick days in 2025, the highest in over a decade.
What 9.4 sick days cost for one £55k employee. Multiply that across your senior team.
GP surgeries lost across Wales in 12 years, while demand has kept rising.
More than faster appointments. A different standard of care.
Everything is included in a single annual fee per member: the annual health assessment, year-round same-day GP access, an annual dental review, and unlimited 30-minute consultations.
Memberships extend to each member’s family: up to two children as standard, with the option to cover a spouse. A benefit your senior team will feel within weeks, because everyone needs a GP.
HMRC permits employers to provide one health screening and one medical check-up per employee per tax year as an exempt benefit (ITEPA 2003, s.320B). This is the structure we use with corporate clients. Whether the cost falls within the exemption for your business depends on your circumstances, so we always recommend confirming with your accountant.
Not all private GP cover is the same.
Several national providers offer private GP services to businesses, most delivered remotely by video. Most insurance policies do not cover day-to-day GP access at all. For employers whose senior team is the business, neither model does what is actually needed.
Seen, not screened
Members are seen in our Colwyn Bay clinic, not by video link to a GP who could be anywhere. Examinations, ECGs, bloods and the annual assessment all happen in one place.
Time to do the job properly
Standard appointments are half an hour. Long enough to take a proper history, examine properly, and discuss what to do, rather than triage and move on.
Four names, not a national pool
Members see the same small group of senior GPs over the years. No rota of locums, no national pool your members never meet twice.
Prevention built in, not an upsell
Every membership includes an annual health and dental review as standard. A comparable standalone screening typically costs £900 to £1,200 per person.
Video consultations have a place, and we offer them when it makes sense. But for an annual assessment, a physical examination, a worrying lump, an ECG, or the relationship that catches problems early, in person matters. Built right, a private GP service uses both.
Built around the four things that actually matter.
Four names, not a national pool.
When you choose corporate membership for your team, you choose the four clinicians on this page. The same small team who get to know each member over the years, and who will be here next year, and the year after.

What it looks like when a business joins.
A West End Healthcorporate member
The Meddyg Care Group has looked after people across North Wales for over 25 years, running nursing and dementia care homes alongside domiciliary care, with a team of 330 staff. The senior people who carry that responsibility rarely find time to look after their own health.
In January 2026 they took out memberships for six of their senior team, so the people the group depends on can be seen quickly, reviewed properly each year, and supported throughout the year by a GP who knows them.
“We spend our days making sure other people are looked after, it’d be odd not to do the same for our own team. West End Health is part of how we do that, and knowing they can be seen quickly takes a weight off everyone.”
