A tax-efficient structure
HMRC permits employers to provide one health screening and one medical check-up per employee per tax year as an exempt benefit (ITEPA 2003, s.320B). Many owners provide their membership through their company on this basis. Whether the cost falls within the exemption depends on your circumstances, so we always recommend confirming with your accountant.
