Assessments are tailored by age and sex, so some tests and interpretation may differ for men and women. Your GP can recommend optional follow-on tests or referrals if needed. Any additional specialist investigations, services or external referrals recommended fall outside your core membership and are chargeable separately. Health and dental assessments are available to adult members only.
Introducing our team
As we get ready to open our doors, we’re delighted to introduce Dr Faiza Murad (GMC: 7585149) as one of our clinical team.

She is a UK GP with specialist training in endocrinology and extensive experience across internal medicine, diabetes, and women’s health.

Her commitment to lifestyle-focused, preventative care aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver modern, personalised healthcare from day one.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the West End Health service for employers.
How fast can you see members of our team?
We do our best to offer same-day appointments regardless of when a member calls – otherwise within one working day.

Appointments can also be booked in advance at times that work around their role, including Saturdays.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are 30 minutes as standard – giving time to talk, understand what’s going on and agree a clear plan, rather than feeling rushed.
What's included in the Health Assessment?
Each adult member receives an advanced whole-body health assessment delivered across two GP appointments, with ~150+ blood and health markers, lifestyle review, physical exam and a comprehensive written report with results and a personalised plan.

This helps your team understand their health profile and take early action where needed.
What's included in the Dental Assessment?
Members receive a preventative consultation with a dental surgeon including digital intra-oral scan, radiographs where appropriate, gum health and tooth wear screening, risk assessment and recommendations for further investigations or treatment where appropriate.

Oral health is a key part of overall wellbeing and confidence at work.
Do you offer weight management services?
Yes. We offer structured, evidence-based weight management support.

A GP will take time to understand a member’s health, lifestyle and goals, then agree a plan which may include nutrition and activity advice, behavioural support and regular reviews.

Where appropriate, and only after a full clinical assessment, your GP may discuss whether prescribed treatment has a role alongside lifestyle changes. Any medicines are prescribed solely on the basis of clinical need and current UK guidance – they are never guaranteed or promoted.
Do you offer menopause care?
Yes. We provide comprehensive menopause assessment and ongoing review.

A GP will take time to understand symptoms and how they are affecting life at home and at work, then discuss a range of evidence-based options – including hormonal and non-hormonal approaches, lifestyle changes and self-management strategies.

Any medicines are considered on an individual basis, prescribed only when clinically appropriate and in line with current UK guidance.

For employers, this gives meaningful, on-demand support for colleagues going through perimenopause and menopause, helping them feel heard, supported and able to stay well in their roles.
Do you offer testosterone or male hormone checks?
Yes. We can assess symptoms and arrange appropriate blood tests to check testosterone and related hormones. Results are reviewed in context with a member’s overall health, lifestyle and goals.

If treatment options are being considered, these will always be discussed carefully and prescribed only when clinically appropriate, in line with current UK guidance – there is no guaranteed access to any particular medicine.
Can you manage long-term conditions in our workforce?
Yes. We can support a range of long-term conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma/COPD, thyroid and lipid disorders.

We’ll agree a monitoring and medication plan with the member and, with their consent, we can share updates with their NHS GP to support continuity of care.

We don’t replace occupational health, but we can work alongside it by helping staff keep conditions stable and caught early, reducing avoidable time off.
Do you offer cancer screening?
We offer age and risk-appropriate checks (for example qFIT; PSA following shared decision-making) and physical examination.

We only recommend tests with clear clinical value and can arrange private imaging or specialist referrals when indicated. This helps spot problems earlier and gives staff clearer guidance when they’re worried.
Are there any age restrictions?
We welcome adults of all ages, subject to membership availability at the time they join.

Health and dental assessments are for adults; children can access unlimited GP appointments through a Family Membership where this is offered as part of your employee benefits.
Staff already have health problems – will this affect registration?
No. Team members are welcome to join regardless of pre-existing conditions.

Our GPs can help manage ongoing issues and help coordinate care with the NHS or private specialists where appropriate.

There is no medical underwriting by the employer – clinical decisions and records sit with West End Health.
Can you refer our employees through existing private medical insurance (PMI)?
Yes. Where clinically appropriate, we can provide referral letters and help arrange private specialist consultations and diagnostics.

If your organisation already offers PMI, we can refer into those existing pathways so members use their PMI benefits effectively.

We can also suggest trusted providers locally and regionally where PMI is not in place.

Where relevant employees must check their own insurance policy for authorisation requirements, excess amounts and whether private GP referrals are accepted.
Do employees need to leave their NHS GP?
No. We recommend all members stay registered with their NHS GP practice so they maintain full access to NHS services such as prescriptions, referrals, investigations and treatments.

West End Health sits alongside the NHS. With each member’s consent, we’ll share relevant information with their NHS GP to support continuity of care.
Where are you based?
We are based in Colwyn Bay initially, with more sites planned as the service grows. Video consultations are also available, which can work well for busy staff and remote workers.
When are you open?
We are open 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 9.00am to 1.00pm Saturday. We are closed on public holidays. As our membership grows, we’ll review extended hours carefully to match demand, particularly from local employers.
Do you do home or on-site visits?
Home visits are not offered as standard. On-site clinics or wellbeing days for employers may be possible by separate arrangement – please contact us to discuss options.
How do you handle records and privacy – will our company see staff medical information?
We work to strict confidentiality and consent standards. Health records remain with West End Health; dental records remain with West End Dental.

Employers do not see individual clinical records.

With a member’s consent, we may share relevant information with their NHS GP to coordinate care. Employers may receive high-level, anonymised uptake and engagement summaries, but never personal clinical details.
What if an employee or our company changes its mind?
For individual members, there’s a 14-day cooling-off period for membership deposits and membership payments. This cooling-off period ends immediately if the member attends an appointment or benefits from any of our clinical services.

For employer-paid programmes, any additional terms (for example around minimum numbers or renewal) will be set out clearly in your corporate agreement.
Can we or our employees pay monthly?
For employer-paid memberships, our default is an annual payment upfront.

Where employees pay personally (for example under Employer Registration), initial memberships enjoy substantial introductory discounts in exchange for an annual payment up front. Individual monthly memberships at full price may be available in future.
Is there a minimum term?
Yes. Each membership runs for a period of 12 months. This applies whether membership is funded by the employer or the individual employee.
Is this an emergency service?
No. For emergencies staff must call 999 or visit their local A&E unit. We can support with follow-up, review of results and documentation after emergency episodes, but we do not provide urgent or life-saving emergency care.
